Our Tremblant Dogsledding - Personalized Adventureactivity offers you the opportunity to fully enjoy nature with your dog team, in very small groups by spending 1h or 1h30 on the sled getting to know the dogs, and learning all about dogsledding.
This is a very popular activity. Reservations for weekends should be made 1 or 2 weeks in advance, and reservations for Christmas vacations, and anytime from mid-February to the last week of March should be made 3 or 4 weeks in advance. For any other time, reservations should be made a few days in advance.
See our Dogsled Comparison Table.
Consult our What to wear information page.
For this adventure, each sled has a guide, and the guide will decide how many people can go on each sled.
These dogs are canine athletes who are bred to pull and run in a cold environment. They are trained and fed properly to be able to do it well. They like pulling a sled as much as a retriever likes fetching a stick. This will become obvious just before the ride starts. Feel free to ask your guide anything you want about sled dogs… learning about the dogs is an interesting part of the experience.
On the personalized adventures, the guide drives the sled but may allow participants to share the driving.
Yes, you get to visit the kennel and the puppies (seasonal).
No, you can ride comfortably as a passenger the whole way.
Your guide will teach you about local wildlife as you head deep into the Laurentian backwoods. You will travel off-trail and enjoy the absolute quiet of nature during your rest stops.
Our guides will decide positions on the sleds. If you have a particular position request please make it known to our guide when you arrive. There will be one driver and one or two passengers per sled. Adults will usually, but not always, drive their own dog sled with an adult passenger. Passengers and drivers can switch places half way through the excursion. Children may be required to ride as passengers on our guides’ sleds or ride on parents sled.
